Mapkalo mod order: correct priority in ATS (avoid errors and crashes)

A technical guide to understand why mod order in ATS is critical and what the correct base priority is for Mapkalo.

ATS priority

Mod order in ATS is not optional. If priority is wrong, the result can be crashes, broken sectors, missing assets, and a map that fails to load as expected.

How mod order works in ATS

ATS uses a priority system in the mod manager. Mods placed higher have higher priority and can overwrite files from mods placed below them.

Why Mapkalo needs an exact order

Mapkalo is split into multiple files and each one has a specific role in the map load sequence. If the order breaks, sectors, textures, or startup stability can break with it.

How to read the order

Order #1 means the file goes lower in the ATS mod manager. Higher numbers end up visually higher in the list.

Mapkalo mod order

  1. MapaKaloTerminales.scs
  2. MapaKaloATS3.scs
  3. MapaKaloATS2.scs
  4. ModeloColombia.scs
  5. MapaKaloATS1.scs
  6. MapaKaloATS4.scs
  7. ActualizacionMapaKalo.scs

Technical note

Do not rename files, duplicate mods, or mix versions of the same package.

Relationship with other mods

Additional mods such as traffic or packs should only be placed according to compatibility and should not alter the base structure of Mapkalo.

Closing

Correct order means a more stable map. When ATS reads each file in the expected priority, conflicts and crashes are reduced.
